Rekindling My Interest in F1

In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, while watching Netflix's Formula 1 Drive to Survive series, I've since rekindled my love for the motorsport.

I don't remember how I lost interest...

I do remember how I got into F1. I remember coming home from school and seeing my dad watching F1 on our TV. I remember him talking about Michael Schumacher and how challenging Monaco is.

We agreed and shared the same opinions on drivers and teams back then.

We would watch hours of hours of clips and replays -- almost on the daily.

Growing up, I've gained a lot of interest in things, gone through phases, moved out, met friends, met people. I guess that's how we both lost our interest.

Now that I'm older, busier, and farther away from home, I find myself looking back and craving for those moments.

I created this sculpture as a marker—a reminder of the memories I have with him.
