Rekindling My Interest in F1

In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, watching Netflix Formula 1 Drive to Survive series, I've since rekindled my love for the motorsport.

I don't remember how I lost interest...

I do remember how I got into F1. I remember coming home from school and seeing my dad watch F1 on our TV. I remember him talking about Michael Schumacher and how Monaco is such a challenging track.

We seem to agree and share the same opinions on drivers and teams back then.

We would watch hours of hours of clips and replays -- almost on the daily.

Growing up, I've gain lots of interest in things, gone through phases, moved out, met friends, met people... I guess that's how we both lost our interest.

Now that I'm older, busier, and farther away from home, I find myself looking back and craving for those moments.

I created this sculpture as a marker -- a reminder that I have those memories with him.
